Clifford’s paper-mache album cover is displayed on TI’s old album, Paper Trail. This is the sixth major album release by Akoo owner TI, teleased last september. He began writing these songs when he was sentenced for jail time and unlike most of his other albums he wrote the lyrics on paper.

TI was extremely motivated when he launched his clothing line. Even from jail he has been able to run a successful business.

Rapper snoop dogg has reported the effects of the recession for his clothing line. He has admitted that his company has struggled with the results of the current economic crisis. However, Tip has expressed no such concerns. Apparently, Akoo is thriving despite these hard times.

Even G-Unit superstar Young Buck’s clothing line David Brown Clothing went under for reasons that his execs claim to be majority influenced by the recession. He even shut down the company website. They are done for good thanks to the poor economy these days.

Many other clothing lines have experienced similar hard times. T.I. on the other hand is still pushing clothes, hustling hard and making major amounts of money. Primarily due to the originality of the apparel and the fame his rapping career has gained him. Akoo is continuing to do big things.

Akoo has some interesting things coming for this Fall. Seems to be really branching out as a brand into more knits and cut & sew pieces not just the regular tees and hats you expect from most celebrity brands.
